Research progress on the ideas and methods of traditional Chinese medicine database construction

  • 摘要: 中医药数据库为深化中医理论、探索病证关系、揭示配伍机制、开发组分中药提供了重要平台支撑。中医药数据库构建以“证候-方剂-草药-成分-靶点-通路-功能-疾病”的关系网络为核心, 并随着计算机科学和高通量实验技术的发展, 进一步开始呈现与人工智能、多模态多组学技术有机结合的发展趋势。本研究介绍了目前中医药数据库的研究现状, 从数据的收集、分析及可视化三个方面综述了相关中医药数据库的研究进展, 系统地讨论了构建数据库的策略和方法。此外, 还揭示了当前中医药数据库所面临的挑战, 并提出了未来可探索的方向和潜在的发展趋势, 旨在为后续相关数据库的构建提供技术支撑, 并为相关领域的研究提供思路。

     

    Abstract: Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) databases provide a crucial platform for deepening TCM theory, exploring the relationship between disease and syndrome, revealing compatibility mechanism, and developing component-based Chinese medicine. The construction of TCM databases is centered around the multi-level "syndrome-formula-herb-component-target-pathway-function-disease" network. With the advancement of computer science and high-throughput experimental technologies, there is a growing trend of integration with artificial intelligence and multi-omics strategies. This paper reviews the current state of TCM databases, and summarizes the research progress from three aspects of data collection, data analysis, and network visualization. It systematically discusses the strategies and methods for building TCM databases. Additionally, it also reveals the challenges faced by the current TCM databases, and puts forward the future exploration direction and potential development trend, aiming at providing technical support for the construction of subsequent related databases and offering insights for research in related fields.
