Abstract:
Liquid membrane moroxydine selective electrode with moroxydine silicotungstate in nitrobenzene as active material was shown to be one of the best electrodes from the 17 electrodes studied. Its Nernstian response range was found to be 1×10
-2~3×10
-6 M with a cationic slope of 60 mV/pC and a detection limit of 5×10
-7 M. It was shown that the influence of solvents on the electrode function was greatcr than that of the ion-pair complexes. For liquid membrane electrode with moroxydine tetraphenylborate as active material, the electrode linearity slope can be reiated inversely to the dielectric constant of the membrane solvent.
