Abstract: The extract of Lu-jung(growing horns from Cervus xanthopygus,Milne-Edwards)given to castrated rats or mice could not promote the growth of their prostates and seminal vesicles.It showed no estrogenic activity in ovariectomized mice.While tested on gonadotropic activity,it could neither induce the formation of blood spots in ovaries of non-pregnant rabbits,nor cause toads to release spermatozoa into their urine.
