ANTISCHISTOSOMAL ACTION OF SOME QING HAO SU DERIVATIVES IN INFECTED MICE

  • Abstract: Antischistosomal action of 24 qinghaosu derivatives were tested in screening system of mice infected with Schistosoma japonicum. It was demonstrated that the ether derivatives of reduced qinghaosu, Sm 224, showed more effective action on schistosomes than the others. Of the carboxylic esters and carbonyldioxy esters of reduced qinghaosu 15 exhibited marked antischistosomal action.
