无花狗足草的消炎作用和对肾上腺皮质功能的影响

THE PHARMACOLOGY OF CRAIBIODENDRON STELLATUM: ANTIPHLOGISTIC EFFECT AND ACTION ON ADRENAL FUNCTION

摘要: 云南民間治疗风湿性关节炎的野生植物无花狗足草系杜鵑花科假木荷(Craibiodendron stellatum).大鼠按0.5克/公斤口服其根的乙醇提出物,有显著减輕蛋清性“关节炎”的作用.用同样剂量可降低大鼠腎上腺內維生素C的含量。急性毒性試驗,小鼠口服LD₅₀为5.62±0.42克(95%可信限)/公斤.中毒症状表現为平衡失調,四肢瘫瘓,死亡于惊厥发作.

Abstract: The root of Craibiodendron stellatum (Pierre) W. W. Sm. (family Ericaceae.) has been used for treatment of rheumatoid arthritis in folk medicine in Yunnan. The alcoholic extract of the root administered orally 0.5 g per kg, reduced the swelling of the ankle joint of the rat hind leg caused by injection of egg-white; it also caused depletion of ascorbic acid in rat adrenals. The LD₅₀ for mice after oral administration of the extract was found to be 5.62 ± 0.42 g per kg, the chief symptom before death being convulsion.
