Abstract: Alcoholic extracts of Thichosanthes Kirilowii Maxim(天花粉)were administered to 6 alloxan diabetic rabbits daily with constant observation on the changes of blood and urine,sugar,the daily urinary excretions,and the body weights for two months.The results were compared with that of alloxan diabetic rabbits one group,treated with insulin and another without.From the experiments,it was found that extracts of T.K.M.had no hypoglycemic effects on alloxan diabetic rabbits.Experiments on normal animals also showed no hypoglycemic effects.
