Abstract:
AIM: To study the acetophenone derivatives from
Euphorbia ebracteolata Hayata. METHODS: Acetophenone derivatives were isolated and purificated with silica gel chromatography, their chemical structures were elucidated by their physicochemical properties and spectral data. RESULTS: Five acetophenone derivatives were isolated from this plant as the following: 2,4 dihydroxy-6-methoxy-3-methylacetophenone (I), 3,3′-diacetyl-4,4′-dimethoxy- 2,2′,6,6′-tetrahydroxy diphenylmethane (II), 3,3′-diacetyl-4,4′-dimethoxy-2,2′,6,6′-tetrahydroxy diphenyl methane- 6′-
O-β-
Dglusopyranoside (III), 2,4-dihydroxy-6-methoxy-3-methylacetophenone-4-
O-β-
D-glucopyranoside (IV) and 2,4dihydroxy-6-methoxy-3-methyl acetophenone-4-
Oβ-
D-xylopyranosyl (1→6)-β-
D- glucopyranoside (V).CONCLUSION: Compounds III and V are new compounds, named ebractelatinoside B and ebractelatinoside C respectively.
