Abstract: The pharmacokinetics and bioavailability of glipizide were studied in 8 healthymaie volunteers after a single oral dose of 5 mg in capule or in tablet.The plasma levels of glipizldewere assayed by high performance liquid chromatography.The concentration—time curves of bothpreparations were fitted to a one compartment model.The pharmacokinetic parameters of glipizide incapsule and in tablet were shown in tables 2 and 3.The relative bioavailability of the capsule was109.9%compared with the tablet.
