CHEMOTHERAPEUTIC STUDIES ON FILARIASIS——Ⅱ. THE SYNTHESIS OF 5-NITRO-IMIDAZOLE DERIVATIVES

摘要

Abstract: In searching for new oral filaricides forty-one compounds of nitro-imidazole have been synthesized. After screening with L. carinii, nine compounds were found to possess obvious microfilaricidal and/or macrofilaricidal effects. Among them compounds Ⅰ₁ and Ⅰ₂ were shown to be the most effective macrofilaricides.
