A BIOGENETIC SYNTHESIS OF PROSTAGLANDIN E1 METHYL ESTER

    摘要
  • Abstract: This paper reports a two step synthesis of prostaglandin E1, that is (1) Oxidation of eicosatrienoic acid methyl ester with singlet oxygen and (2) potassium borohydride reduction. Finally, the product PGE1 was separated by rotating thin layer chromatorgraphy on silica gel with a total yield about 5.8%. The data of IR, MS and NMR are the same as those in the literature.
