Sesquiterpenes and an intermediate 1α, 6β, 11-eudesmanetriol in the biosynthesis of geosmin from Streptomyces sp.

    从链霉菌Streptomyces sp.中分离得到一个新倍半萜caryolane-1, 6β-diol (1) 和一个geosmin生物合成中间体1α, 6β, 11-eudesmanetriol (2), 说明了geosmin生物转化途径的顺序, 特别是双环合过程先于脱烷基过程

     

    Abstract:

    One new sesquiterpene was isolated from the fermentation broth of Streptomyces sp. and the structure was elucidated by spectral analysis as caryolane-1, 6β-diol (1).  An intermediate 1α, 6β, 11-eudesmanetriol (2) in the biosynthesis of geosmin was also found in this strain which proved sequence for the reactions, especially bicyclization preceding dealkylation.
