STUDIES ON CHEMOTHERAPY OF FILARIASIS Ⅲ. SYNTHESIS OF 5-NITRO-2-THIENYLAZOMETHINE AND 3, 5-DINI-TRO-2-THIENYLAMINE DERIVATIVES

  • Abstract: In order to improve the clinical efficacy of the new oral filaricide, Furapyrimidone, a number of 5-nitro-2-thienylazomethine and 3,5-dinitro-2-thicnylamine derivatives were synthesized. After screening, twenty-one out of thirty-two compounds were found to possess pronounced macrofilaricidal effect.
