Abstract:
The pharmacokinetics of trilobine-HCl (TrL) in rabbits was studied using HPLC. Strychnine was used as an internal standard. The mobile phase consisted of methanol and ammonia (100/0.02 by vol). The flow rate was 2 ml/min. The retention times for TrL and strychnine were 5.1 rain and 9.3 min respectively. The detection limit of TrL was 7.2 ng. The HPLC method was a simple, accurate and sensitive assay method for TrL. Plasma C vs t data of TrL after ⅳ of 40 mg/kg in rabbits were fitted to curves employing PCNONLIN program. The results indicated that the data fitted a two-compartment open model adequately. The primary and secondary parameters obtained were presented in tab 1 and tab 2.
