Advances in the study of aldehyde oxidases

  • 摘要: 醛氧化酶(aldehyde oxidase,AOX)是一类高度保守的钼-黄素蛋白,主要存在于哺乳动物细胞质中,具有广泛的底物特异性,可催化醛类及含氮、含氧杂环类化合物的氧化反应。该酶体内分布较广,存在种属及个体间差异,在药物及外源物的Ⅰ相代谢中发挥重要作用。本文将简要介绍AOX的生物学特性及在药物代谢中的作用。

     

    Abstract: Aldehyde oxidase (AOX), a highly conserved molybdoflavoenzyme in mammal cytoplasm, has broad substrate specificity and ability to catalyze the oxidation of aldehydes and nitrogen, oxygen-containing heterocyclic rings. AOX was found to widely distribute with the individual differences in vivo and plays an important role in phase Ⅰ metabolism of drugs and xenobiotics. The biological characteristics of AOX and its contributions in drug metabolism are introduced briefly in this review.
