Abstract: A pharmacologically active compound possessing the effect of lowering elevated-SGPT levels, Schisanhenol (Ⅰ), has been isolated from the kernels of Schisandra rubriflora Rhed et Wils. Wuweizisu A (deoxyschizandrin), wuweizisu B (γ-schizandrin), wuweizichun A (schizandrin) and wuweizichun B were also demonstrated to be present in the same plant bymeans of HPLC and TLC.
