Abstract:
AIMTo study the chemical constituents of the roots of
Patrinia scabra Bunge. METHODS Various chromatographic techniques were used to separate and purify the constituents. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of chemical evidences and spectral analysis. RESULTSFour compounds were isolated from the roots of
P.scabra. They were identified as hexadecylic acid-α-monoglyceride (I), oleanolic acid (II), quercetin (III),
N-benzoyl-phenylalanine-2-acetylamino-phenylpropanol easter (IV). CONCLUSIONAll compounds were isolated from this plant for the first time. Among them, IV is a new alkaloid and named patriscabratine.
