Abstract: On continuing study of the chemical constituents of Smilax glabra, four compounds were isolated,Three of them are known compounds, their structures were elucidated,on the hasis of MS, ¹HNMR,¹³CNMR and ¹³C-¹H-COLOC analysis,as methyisuccinic acld(Ⅰ),syringic acid Ⅱ)and taxiffolin(Ⅲ).The structure of the new compound, named smiglanin Ⅳ),was elucidated as 5,7-dihydroxy-chromone-3-o-α-L-rhamnopyranoside.
