Abstract:
Five compounds have been isolated from the stem of
Erycibe elliptilimba Merr. et Chun. By spectral analyses and chemical reactions four of them have been identified as scopoletin(Ⅰ), scopolin(Ⅱ), Bao-Gong-Teng A(Ⅲ),and Bao-Gong-Teng C(Ⅳ). (Ⅰ) and (Ⅱ) can be used as antirheumatic and analgesic; while (Ⅲ) can be used as myotic. The fifth one, 2
β, 7
β-dihydroxynortropane, is a new alkaloid named erycibelline(Ⅴ). Forthe first time (Ⅳ)is obtained as a pure colorless oil. It has been found that although (Ⅳ) Showed no obvious biologic activity, its O-diacetyl derivative (Ⅳa) is a strong myotic.
