Abstract:
Twelve 2-(alkylaminomethyl)- 4-(7′-trifluor omethyl-4′-quinolylamino) -5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-1-naphthols (Ⅰ) hydrochloride and thirteen 2-(alkylaminomethyl)-and 2,6- bis-(alkylaminomethyl)-4- (7′-trifluoromethyl-4′-quinolylamino) phenols (Ⅱ and Ⅲ) hydrochloride had been synthesized and screened for antimalarial activity against
plasmodium berghei in mice. Preliminary results showed that all compounds exhibited marked antimalarial effect. Compound Ⅰ
3, Ⅲ
2 and Ⅲ
3 suppressed parasitemia at 2.5 mg/kg.
