Abstract:
Three compounds have been isolated for the first time from the neutral lipophilic fraction of the rhizome of
Belamcanda chinensis(L.) DC. Compound Ⅰ was shown to be irisflorentin which had been found in Iris florentina L. as an inhibitor of cAMP-PDE. Ⅱ is a new compound derived from desoxybenzoin, It was identified by means of IR, MS, NMR, and partial-synthesis and was named"sheganone". Ⅲ was identified as apocynin which occurs as a glycoside in
Iris tectorum Maxim. Ⅰ and Ⅱ react with alkaloid reagents showing false positive reactions.
