CHEMOTHERAPEUTIC STUDIES ON SCHISTOSOMIASIS ⅩⅣ. SYNTHESIS OF COUMARAN DERIVATIVES AND ITS ANALOGS

  • Abstract: Ten coumaran derivatives were synthesized from the corresponding 2,2'-diphenoI methane or 2,2'-diphenol sulfide derivatives by oxidation. In preliminary screening for prophylactic and curative activities against experimental infection of Schistosomiasis japonica in mice, compound Ⅱ2 was found to be the most active.
