Abstract: Ten crystalline compounds were isolated from the alcoholic extract of the kernels of Schisandra rubriflora Rhed et Wils. Eight of them were identified as dibenzocyclooctadiene lignans: wuweizisu C(1), (-)-rubschisandrin (2), rubschisantherin (3), deoxyschisandrin (4), schisanhenol acetate (5), schisanhenol B (6), schisanhenol (7) and gomisin O (8), while two of them were verified as 1,4-bis-phenyl, 2,3-dimethylbutane lignans: pregomisin (9) and meso-dihydroguaiaretic acid (10). Compounds (2), (3), (5), (6) have not been reported in the literature and their structures have been elucidated based on spectral and chemical analyses.
