Abstract:
Nine chemical constituents (Ⅰ-Ⅸ) were separated from the ethanol extract of the root of
Aristolochia mollissima Hance. One of them was found to be a new sesquiterpenoid lactone to which the name mollislactone was suggested. Its formula was identified to be C
15H
20O
2, mp 134~135℃. The structure of mollislactone was elucidated on the basis of UV, IR, MS, NMR,
13C-NMR and
13C-PRFT-OFR spectroscopic analyses. The constituents Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅳ and Ⅸ, were identified to be allantoin, aristolactone,
β-sitosterol and aristolochic acid respectively. The identification of other constituents is in progress.
