SYNTHESIS OF NEVADENAIN ANALOGUES AND THEIR ANTI-TUBERCULOSIS ACTIVITY

  • Abstract: An anti-tuberculosis agent, Nevadensin N-methyl-glucamine salt, was synthesized and proved to be more effective than Nevadensin for the treatment of tuberculosis by intramuscular injection. It has been used in clinical trials. In this article the synthesis of Nevadensin analogues was reported and seven of them were shown to have significant antituberculosis activity.
