Abstract:
Five alkaloids were isolated from the roots of Aconitum finetianum (Hand-Mazz.) by a combination of pH extraction and chromatographic techniques. Chemical and spectral studies suggested that they are a series of the lycoctonine-type alkaloid. Three of them were identified as delsoline, avadharidine and lycoctonine, by comparing their physical properties with known compounds. The formulas of two others alkaloids are designated as C
27H
21N
3O
5(141~142℃) and C
22H
31NO
3 (221~226℃). Their structures are under investigation. Delsoline is useful for acute dysentery, acute enteritis and a relaxant of the smooth muscle of intestines.
