Abstract:
The characteristics of morphology, structure and fluorescence of the medicinal shells always keep the original form in their powder, for example: there are Nacreous and prismatic structure in the
Halitis asinine Linné and Pinctada raartensi (Dunker); crossed-lamellar structure in
Dosinia (Phacosorna) japonica (Reeve), Protothaca jedoensis (lischke) and
Mactre quadraqularis Deshayes; crossed-lamellar structure and prismatic structure in
Rapana thomasiana Crosse; and foliated structure in
Ostrea denselamellosa Lische and
Ostrea tallienwhanensis Crosse. All of them were not calcined, and their powder present in dispersing particles under dissecting microscope These powder sinks slowly in water with many floates and the pH of them was neutral.
Haliotis asinina Linné, in saturated zinc acetate in alcohol, displayed light green fluorescence. For better understanding diagrams and pictures are enclosed.
