STUDIES OF CHEMICAL CONSTITUENTS FROM TAMARIX CHINENSIS LOUR

Ten crystalline compounds were isolated from the twigs and leaves of Tamarix chinensis Lour. They are tamarixinol(Ⅰ), β-sitosterol (Ⅱ), tamarixone (Ⅲ), tamarixol (Ⅳ), daucosterol(Ⅴ), 3', 4'-di-O-methyl-quercetin(Ⅹ) and four long chain compounds. Compounds Ⅰ, Ⅲ and Ⅳ are new natural products and their structures have been elucidated based on spectral and chemical analyses.
