POLAROGRAPHIC DETERMINATION OF AESCULETIN IN QINPI (FRAXINUS RHYNCHOPHYLLA HANCE OR F. CHINESIS ROXO)

A polarographic method for the determination of Aesculetin by using pH9 boratepotassium chloride buffer solution as supporting electrolyte was reported. The halfwave potential was -1.67V (vs S C E).The current was proportional to the concentration in the range of 0.1 io 0.5mg/ml Aesculetin.The plant sample was extracted With 95% EtOH for 2 hours and analysed by this method. The average deviation is less than 2%.
