CHMICAL STUDIES ON, THE CHINESE DRUG QIN PI, THE BARK OF FRAXINUS STYLOSA

Four coumarins and a phenolic glycoside were isolated from the bark of Fraxinus stylosa Lingelsh: esculetin, es-culin, fraxin, syringin and anew coumaric glycoside—stylosin. On the basis of spectroscopic analyses (IR, UV, MS) and physico—chemical constants, the structure of stylosin was identified as 8-O-(rhamnosyl-rhamnosyl-glucosyl)-fraxetin.
