THE CENTRAL INHIBITORY ACTION OF HEXOPRENALINE
-
Abstract
The ip of hexoprenaline (1 or 5 mg/kg), an Aβ2 receptor agonist, significantly decreased the spontaneous motor activity (photocell method) of mice, This effect was antagonized by sc propranolol. Hexoprenaline also markedly shortened the onset and prolonged the duration of pentobarbital narcosis. There seemed to be no cumulative toxicity.
