STUDIES ON THE CHEMICAL CONSTITUENTS OF EVODIA RUTAECARPA JUSS BENTH

Eight indole alkaloids and one aromatic amine were isolated ftom Evodia rutaecarpa Juss Benth.Their structures were identified as evodiamine(I),rutaeearpine(II),formyldihy-drorutaecarpine(III) ,goshuyuamide-I(IV), evodiamide(V),hydroxyevodiamine(VI),B-carboline(VII),1,2,3,4-Tetrahydro-1-oxo-β-carboline(VIII),and N-methylanthranylamide(IX).Compound VIII is a new natural product.Compound VII was first isolated from Evodia.
