  • Three compounds were isolated from the water-soluble part of dry fruits of Ligustrum lucidum Ait.. Their structures were established as ρ-hydroxyphenethyl-β-D-glucoside (I) ,ρ-hydroxyphenethyl-α-D-glucoside (II)and sodium oleanolate (III)on the basis of chemical analysisand spectral data (UV, IR,1H-NMR,13C-NMR, and MS).II is a new glucoside and l was foundfromthisplantforthe time .
