THE ANTITUMOR CONSTITUENTS OF RABDOSIA MACROPHYLLA

From the Chinese drug Rabdosia macrophylla eleven components were isolated. Several of them showed significant cytotoxicity on heptoma cells, anti-staphyloccocus aurea efficacy and tumor inhibitory activity against Ehrlich ascites carcinoma in mice. By means of spectral method combined with chemical analysis, three of the components were identified to be oridonin, β-sito-sterol and isodonal. In this paper, the isolation and identification of oridonin and isodonal were reported.
