Abstract

A new alkaloid 18-hydroxycamptothecin, along with strychnolactone, salicylic acid and nonandioic acid was isolated from the seeds of Camptotheca acuminata Decne(Nyssaceae). shows a strong cytotoxility against P 388 leukemia cell in vitro.
