SYNTHESIS OF 6-(2-CYANOETHYL)-17α-ACETOXYPROGESTERONE COMPOUNDS

    Abstract
  • Reaction of steroidal 3, 5-dienamines (Ⅱ and Ⅵ) with acrylonitrile gave 6-(2-cyanoethyl)-compounds (Ⅲa, Ⅲb and Ⅶ). Compound Ⅲb was dehydrogenated With chloranil to give-compound Ⅳ. Compounds Ⅲa, Ⅲb, Ⅳ and Ⅶ are all new compounds.
