STUDIES ON TRITERPENOIDS OF TRIPTERYGIUM WILFORDII HOOK-F

    Abstract
  • Seven triterpenoids were isolated from the root of Tripterygium wilfordii Hook-f collected in Fu-Jian province. T1 was identified as wilforlide A; T2 as wilforlide B; T3 as 3β, 22a-dihydroxy-Δ12-oleanen-29-oic acid; T4 as 3-epi-katonic acid; T5 as salaspermic acid; T6, a new triterpenic acid, as 3,24-dioxo-fridelan-29-oic acid tentatively and T7 as celastrol.T7 was shown to inhibit proliferation of lymph cells.
