DETERMINATION OF ALKALOIDS IN THE ROOTS OF BERBERIS GENUS PLANTS BY HPLC WITH VARIED WAVELENGTH

An accurate RP-HPLC method for the determination of xyacanthine,berbamine,columbamine,jatrorrhizine,isotetrandrine, Palmatine and berberine in the root of Berberis aemulans Schneld.,B;candidulaSchneid,B,dasystachya maxim.,B.poiretii Schneid.and B,pruinosa Franch.has been developed.Analytical column was μ-Bondapak phenyl.The mobile phase consisted of 0.02mol·L^-1KH₂PO₄─CH₃CN(7:3).Flow rate was l.0 ml·min^-1.From0.0～10.0 min the elute was detected at 203 nm and from l0.0～30.0 min at 346 nm,External standard method was used.During the detection,the wavelength was changed to obtain high sensitivity and precision.
