SYNTHESIS OF M6407, A NEW ANTI-MALARIAL AGENT

A new drug, 4-(3′, 5′-bis-pyrrolidin-l-yl-methylene-4′-hydroxyphenyl)amino-7-chloroquinoline, was synthesized. After two years of pharmacological studies, it was found that the drug exhibited lower toxicity and bigher potency against Plasmodium berghei in mice when compared with chloroquine.
