COLORIMETRIC DETERMINATION OF ANTIMALARIAL DRUGS AND THEIR TABLETS BY MEANS OF AMMONIUM REINECKATE

    Abstract
  • A method for colorimetric determination of quinine salts (euquinine, pyrimethamine, chloroquine phosphate, and primaquine phosphate) is described. The principle of the method is based on measuring the absorbances of excess reagent after removal of insoluble reineckate salts. The molecular composition of the reineckates at various pH (1-8) and the optimum condition for the determination were studied. The average deviation of the method proposed is ±0.20%.
