ISOLATON AND STRUCTURAL ELUCIDATON OF ARADECOSIDE A FROM THE ROOT OF ARALIA DECAISNEANA

A new triterpenoid saponin,C₅₉H₉₆O₂₇ ,named Aradecoside A(I),was isolatedfrom the root of Aralia decaisneana Hance(Araliaceae).The determination of its structure was based onspectroscopic analysis( IR, ¹HNMR,¹³CNMR ,MS,Long-range ¹H-¹HCOSY or ¹H-¹³C HETCOR)of the natural compound and its derivatives,and characterized as 3-O-β-D-xylo-pyranosyl(1→3)- β-D-glucopyranosyl(1→2)-β-D-glucopyranosyl-oleanolic acid-28-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl(1→6)-β-D-glucoDyrandsyl ester.
