STUDIES ON CHEMICAL CONSTITUENTS FROM ACANTHOPANAX SENTICOSUS(RUPR.ET MAXIM.) HARMS

AIM: To study the chemical composition of the stems and leaves of Acanthopanax seticosus(Rupr.et Maxim.) Harms.METHODS: Various chromatographic techniques were used to separate and purify the constituents. Their structures were determined by spectral analysis and chemical evidence.RESULTS: Three compounds were identified as: neociwujiaphenol(IV), feruloyl sucrose(V) and syringin(VI). CONCLUSION: Compound IV is a new compound. Compound V was isolated from the nature for the first time.
