STUDIES ON THE CHEMICAL CONSTITUENTS OF CHRYS SANTHEMUM INDICUM L.
-
Abstract
Six crystalline compounds have been isolated from the flowers of Chrysanthemum indicum L.. Five of them were identified as known compounds: daucosterol, cumanbrin-A, acacetin, glyceryl-1-monobehenate and palmitic acid. The sixth one is a new compound and is named chrysanthemol. The structure of chrysanthemol was elucidated as I on the basis of spectral (IR, MS, 1HNMR and 13CNMR) and chemical evidences. Chrysanthemol showed strong antiinflammatory activity in mice.
