STUDY ON MAGNETIC MICROSPHERES FOR PURGING CANCER CELLS FROM BONE MARROW H.PREPARATION OF POLYSTYRENE MAGNETIC MICROSPHERES

Magnetic microspheres (MS) used to purge tumor cells from human bone marrow were prepared with a two step method. Main factors that can influence the magnetization result were discussed. The MS were coatde with polyacrolein which has active aldehyde group. The magnetic material content and the magnetic response of MS were determined and showed that the magnetic material is γ-Fe₂O₃ by X-ray diffraction.
