DETERMINATION OF TETRAMETHYLPYRAZINE AND BORNEOL IN HUMAN PLASMA BY GC-MSD

A GC-MSD method fot the determination of tetramethylpyrazine(TMP)andborneol in plasma is described.TMP and borneol were extracted with hexane—dichloromethane(10:1,V/V).Camphor was used as the internal standard.The average recoveries of TMP and borneolwere 87.38%and 97.32/with relative standard deviation 1.96%to 6.21%,respectively.Themethod was succassfully used to determine plasma borneol concentration following sublingual adminis-tration of 20 pills of Suxiao Jiuxin Wan to healthy volunteers(n=10).The pharmacokineticparameters have been listed in this paper.
