Abstract

AIMTo study the alkaloid constituents of Huperzia serrata (Thunb.) Trev. METHODS Chromatographic methods were used for the isolation and purification. Structure was elucidated on the basis of chemical analysis and spectral data. RESULTSAn alkaloid was isolated from H.serrata (Thunb.) Trev. CONCLUSION The compound is a novel faucettimane type alkaloid,named neohuperzinine.
