CHEMICAL CONSTITUENTS OF THE STEMS AND LEAVES OF ACANTHOPANAX SENTICOSUS (RUPR.ET MAXIM.) HARMS

AIM: To study the chemical composition in the stems and leaves of Acanthopanax senticosus (Rupr.et Maxim.) Harms. METHODS: Various chromatographic techniques were used to separate and purify the constituents. Their structures were determined by spectral analysis and chemical evidence. RESULTS: Three compounds were identified as: ciwujiatone (III), isofraxidin (I), eleutheroside B₁ (II). CONCLUSION: Compound III were separated for the first time.
