STUDIES ON CHEMICAL CONSTITUENTS OF BU-GU-ZHI, THE SEEDS OF PSORALEA CORYLIFOLIA L.

    Abstract
  • Two new flavonoid compounds named corylifolin and corylifolinin, were isolated from benzene extract of Psoralea corylifolia L. Besides, the known compounds, psoralen, angelicin and psoralidin were also obtained. By means of chemical degradation and spectral analysis the structures of the two new compounds were elucidated as (1) (Ⅱ) respectively. (Ⅱ) and. their degradation products (Ⅵ), (Ⅶ) had been synthesized.It was noted that corylifolinin (Ⅱ) was found to have inhibitory effect on Hela cells and to increase coronary blood flow on isolated guinea pig heart.
