NEW TRTEKPENOIDAL SAPOGENINS FROM THE ROOTS OF GLYCYRRHIZA YUNNANENSIS

This paper reports isolation and identification of two new crystaline substances(Ⅰ,Ⅱ)and eight other substances(Ⅲ～Ⅹ)from the roots of Glycyrhiza yunnanensis:glyyunnansapo-genin B₁(Ⅰ),glyyunnansapogenin B₂(Ⅱ),3β,21α,24-trihydroxy-olean-12-ene(Ⅲ),betulic acid(Ⅳ),23-hydroxy betulic acid(Ⅴ),3β-hydroxy-olean-12-en-28-oic acid(Ⅵ),3β-hydroxy-16-oxo-olean-11,13(18)-dien-30-oic acid(Ⅶ),24-hydroxy-glabrolide(Ⅷ),21α-acetoxy-friedelan-3-one(Ⅸ),sitosteryl-β-D-glucoside(Ⅹ).Among Ⅲ～Ⅹ,(Ⅴ,Ⅸ)and(Ⅳ,Ⅵ,Ⅷ)were found for the first time from Glycyrrhiza and Glycyrrhiza yunnanensis,respectively.Glyyunnansapo-genin B₁,C₃₀H₄₈O₅,was obtained as white needles,mp 303～305℃,its structure was found to be Ⅰ.Glyyunnansapogenin B₂,C₃₀H50O₂,was obtained as white powders,mp 224～228℃,its structurewas found to be Ⅱ.
