SYNTHESIS OF N-(1-CARBETHOXY-3-PHENYLCARBAMOYLPROPYL) GLYCYL GLYCINE DERIV ATIVES

Four N-(1-carbethoxy-3-phenylcarbamoylpropyl)glycyl glycine derivatives(XI_1～4)and five 1-(1-carbethoxy-3-phenylcarbamoyl)propyl-1,4-piperazine-2,5-dione derivatives(XII_1～5)expected to have inhibitory activity on angiotensin-converting enzyme were synthesized.All of the compounds mentioned above and nine corresponding esters(X_1～9)were not reported in literature.In preliminary test in rats,compounds XII₂ and XII₅ showed marked hypotensive activity.
