-
Abstract
AIM: To look for new active constituents from the seeds of Aesculus wilsonii Rehd., a Chinese medicine. METHODS: Various column chromatographic techniques were employed for the isolation and purification of the ingredients. The structures were elucidated on the basis of spectral evidences and chemical reactions. RESULTS: 5 compounds were obtained and identified as tianshic acid (1), fumaric acid (2), N-acetyl glutaminic acid (3), β-sitosterol 3-O-gluceroside (4) and β-sitosterol (5). CONCLUSION: Tianshic acid is a new compound, and fumaric acid (2) and N-acetyl glutaminic (3) are known compounds unreported previously from this kind of plant.
